66 -- UPGRADE OF MTS ROCK AND CONCRETE TEST SYSTEM SOL 1425-5-SP-81-20340 DUE 041995 POC Contact Stephanie Bartlett, (303) 236-8040, ext. 241, Contracting Officer The Bureau of Reclamation has an existing three channel, MTS, model 815, Rock and Concrete testing system which is over 10 years old and needs to be upgraded. The system consists of a closed loop, servo-controlled, hydraulic, 1-million pound, stiff-testing frame operated by a personal computer work station. Additionally, this system has triaxial, elevated temperature, displacement, strain, and pore pressure capabilities. The majority of the upgrade will involve the test system digital controller and software. Peripheral components are to be upgraded only when required in the specifications or to provide compatibility with the new controller components. New capabilities to use clip-on gauges, to measure axial displacements on compression specimens, are to be included. Also, a confining pressure gauge, for the triaxial cell, shall be added which will enable the system to more accurately measure and control confining pressures of less than 3000 psi. Vendor shall provide design, fabrication, testing, software, documentation, installation, training, warranties, and software/technical updates and maintenance for one year. FOB Destination.
