new Cement terminal the Cement Trading Corporation limited, a
parastatal agency which is responsible for the import, bagging and
distribution of Cement in Mauritius, invites ''prequalification
application'' from contractors for carrying out civil works for the
construction of a new Cement terminal in Port Louis harbor the works
comprise the following: (I) Cement silos; (II) buildings; (III)
internal roads and surface drainage; (IV) trestles including transfer
houses for housing the conveyors; (V) utilities the civil contractor
will be the main contractor with the overall responsibility for the
construction of the terminal and CO-ordination with the nominated sub-
contractors electromechanical works will be award procedure:
onlycontractors who are reputable, qualified and experienced are
eligible prospective contractors should purchase the prequalification
documents against cash payment of Mrs 1,500 (US dols 90) from the
engineer's office at any of the following addresses (1) consulting

Corporation ltd, 3RD Floor-Fon Sing building, 12 Edith Cavell Street,
Port Louis, Mauritius pre- qualification documents must be deposited in
the 1995 at 1400 hours however, to save time, Embassy is prepared to
purchase and dhl the tender documents on behalf of U S. bidders.
Interested U.S. firms should deposit US dols 130 (U.S. dols. 90 for
documents and U S. dols.40 for dhl) with one of the following U S.
Banks in new York for transfer to the Mauritius Commercial Bank, Port
Louis, Mauritius, with instructions to pay the amount deposited to the
American Embassy, Port Louis, Mauritius (I) bankers' trust, (II) City
Bank, and (III) chase Manhattan to expedite the transfer, the U S.
