J -- REPAR, REFINISH AND RECOVER FURNITURE SOL DAKF48-95-B-0014 DUE 042595 POC Contract Specialist Morris Whitacre (817) 287-5472 (Site Code DAKF48) Furnish labor and materials to repair, refinish and recover metal and wood furniture to include replacement of any part(s) of the furniture unit, i.e., arm rests, casters, scuff plates, guides, desk tops, desk back, metal molding, glass, drawer pulls, light fixtures and bulbs, etc. Contractor shall pick up, repair and return furniture to Fort Hood, Texas. Types of furniture and estimated quantities are: 150 nightstands; 1,305 chairs; 150 wardrobes; 90 bunkbeds; 109 tables; 220 desk; 37 entertainment centers; 178 sofas; 10 cabinets; and 350 chest. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. Wage Determinations have been requested for the following counties: Harris, TX; Aransas, TX; Oklahoma, OK; Marshall, AL. The contracting officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if asked to do so in writing by 4:30PM, Central, 24 February 1995. This will be a fixed price requirements type contract. The anticipated period of Contract is 1 May 1995 through 30 April 1996 with two one-year options. Tentative date for receipt of bids is 25 April 1995. The Standard Industrial Classification code (SIC) for this acquisition is 7641.
