FOR THE SOLICITATION PLANHOLDERS LIST. Construction of an Airport
Traffic Control Tower and Administrative Base Building at Palwaukee
Municipal Airport, Wheeling, Ilinois. The contractor shall furnish all
labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary to construct
a complete building including, but not limited to the following: 1)
Site earthwork, civil, grading and landscaping including parking area
and 1100' of 12'' x 12' wide aggregate base construction road. 2)
Construction of a 69' x 74' single story administrative base building
complete with 32' x 9' link. 3) Construction of a 118'-7'' (height to
top of roof antennas) Airport Traffic Control Tower with a 350 square
foot cab. 4) This contract will include hook-up of building/power and
cables from the tower and base building to the engine generator. 5)
Installation of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems. 6)
Extend the 6'' and 8'' sanitary line approximately 1023 LF to the
existing airport 12'' sanitary sewer. 7) Install 611 LF of storm sewer.
8) Miscellaneous work as shown on the drawings. Estimated bidding range
is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid documents are anticipated to
be available on or about March 28, 1995. A non-refundable fee of $150
in the form of a 1) CERTIFIED CHECK, 2) CASHIER'S CHECK, OR 3) MONEY
ORDER is payable to the FAA in advance for ONE SET of bid documents,
drawings and specifications. Additional sets of same will be made
available through the FAA's local printer (additional information will
be found within the solicitation document). For

THIS NOTICE Is FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED AND
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU),
has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
