Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION - REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS IA-21 AND IA-22 AT THE NAVAL WEAPONS STATION, CONCORD CALIFORNIA SOL N62474-90-B-6024. DUE 051195. PRE-SOLICITATION: Elements of work include furnishing supervision, equipment, materials, labor and transportation required to provide rehabilitation of buildings IA-21 & IA-22 at the Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA. The Base Bid 0001 will be the rehabilitation of buildings IA-21(NW), and IA-22(SE) which includes architectural, structural, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical modifications. Some unreinforced masonry partitions in Building IA-22 will be replaced by steel studs partition. Some structural steel members are added to upgrade them to current code. The work includes asbestos removal in floor tiles, wall panels, and pipe insulation and removal of lead, PCB, and mercury. The work also includes installation of a gas main of approximately 3,500 feet and incidental related work. The contractor will provide one double wide and one triple wide trailer for Government use during the contract performance period, utility connections will be provided by the contractor. The contractor will move equipment and furniture to and from the trailers. Additive Bid Item 0001AA is the rehabilitation of building IA-21 (SE) including work as indicated for the base bid item. Tentative issue date of solicitation 10 Apr 1995 with a bid opening date of 11 May 1995. Only written request for plans and specifications will be honored. This solicitation is issued as full and open competition under the provisions of P.L. 100-656 Small Business Demonstration Program. The SIC Code is 1542. The related small business standard is $17.0 million. The resulting contract will be a lump sum firm fixed price contract. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
