031495. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of
Technology (JPL/Caltech), operating under a prime contract with the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is currently
seeking qualified sources to participate in a partnering arrangement
with JPL on the development of a receiver for digital audio
broadcasting via satellite. The basic scope of work, utilizing your own
source of funding, includes: (1) working with JPL to complete the
definition of the specifications for a satellite digital sound
broadcasting (DSB) receiver; (2) implementing an existing JPL
simulation into a prototype hardware receiver; and (3) particpating in
satellite/terrestrial field trials using the NASA TDRS satellite at
S-band. JPL will provide a working simulation of a receiver capable of
operation in a multiple signal environment to the selection
partner(s). JPL requests that interested firms, which have a capability
to fulfill the requirements herein, provide a FAX or written expression
of interest no later than 4:45 p.m. (PST) on March 14, 1995. Telephone

at this time; however, JPL plans to hold an Industry Briefing in late
