B -- JAPANESE APPAREL TEXTILE INDUSTRY SOL 52SBNB5C8649 DUE 032395 POC Kathleen Lettofsky (301) 975-6342/C.O.: Ruth Ann Maris The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to acquire the services of a contractor to prepare a technical summary report on the Japanese apparel textile industry. This report is to satisfy one of the requirements of the Japanese Technical Literature Act of l986 (PL99-382) for the U.S. Department of Commerce to acquire and disseminate Japanese scientific and technical information. The first draft of this report shall be completed by early July and delivered to the Japan Technology Program in the form of a hard copy, including tables and figures. A bibliography would be appended to permit technical follow-up. A soft version of the text on diskette, written with Microsoft Word for Macintosh, would accompany for review by DOC personnel. Based on the review comments of DOC personnel, the final camera-ready draft of the report shall be made available by the end of August to meet the end of September target for issuance.
