Sought - The United States Information Agency is soliciting information
regarding the availability of off-the-shelf products for a DIGITAL
AUDIO DISTRIBUTION NETWORK at the Voice of America headquarters in
Washington, DC. The voice of America is particularly interested in
Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) products which can provide the
available bandwidth necessary to implement a large scale digital audio
network. The audio network must be capable of distributing more than
500 channels of high quality digital audio to approximately 2000 users
in real-time. Additional attention will be given to products which
have been sucessfully utilized in a large scale network environment.
Firms having the ability to furnish this type of equipment are
requested to give written notification to the procurement office listed
above within 15 calendar days from the date of this synopsis - Firms
that respond must provide detailed information and specification of the
equipment offered, including country of manufacture and assembly, and
their ability to furnush this type of equipment. This is not a request
