THE TAIWAN MADS PROGRAM DUE 031795 POC R. Grudzinski, Electronics
Engineer, AMSEL-LC-ED-MX. This is a Market Survey to locate additional
sources of supply for various quantities of encryption devices, all
their associated ancillary equipment (e.g. installation kits, keyfill
devices, management systems, tools, test equipment, etc.), spare
printed circuit boards, spare components, spare encryption devices,
appropriate training, one week technical support at a U.S. location,
and one week technical support in country. The only device that is
currently known to be qualified for this application is Technical
Communications Corporation's DSD 72A-SP and all its associated
ancillary equipment, services, etc. Detailed technical data for the
manufacture, test, and item acceptance of these items is not available
from the Government. Sources must be capable of supplying all the
above items under one procurement action to ensure proper interface.
Items will be used in a modified Raytheon PATRIOT weapons system (a
MICOM managed system). The above items must be able to be fully and
successfully integrated into the weapons system, which must interface
with an AN/GRC-103 Radio and TD-5064 Multiplexer. The source must have
been qualified and approved by both the Systems Engineering Office of
the PATRIOT Project Office and NSA for use in this application. Source
must be able to deliver all harware to location by July 1996. The
qualification process requires approximately one year with final
approval by the Systems Engineering Office of the PATRIOT Project
Office. Suppliers capable of furnishing these items must so indicate by
writing to: Commander CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-ED-MX (R. Grudzinski), Fort
Monmouth, New Jersey 07703-5023. The response must include
documentation (e.g. test results, copy of purchase order (if the
supplier was a vendor to a previously known source (TCC)), or a
statement from the previous source that the supplier can, in fact,
supply the items that will be form, fit, physically, and functionally
interchangeable with the items from the previously known supplier (TCC)
for these items.) Successful supplier will be required to warrant that
the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the
purpose intended by the Government and be delivered on time. The
