The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to acquire a Compaq Proliant 2000, PN 163810-004; processer board, PN 199050-001; 2.1 GB plugable SCSI-2 Drive, PN 146742-004; AUI to BNC transceiver, PN 192732-001; and 64 MB Memory expansion kit, PN 149913-001 from Compaq, Inc., under GSA FIP Schedule Contract Number GS00K93AGS6391-PS01 on a sole source basis in order to maintain compatibility with existing drive arrays. FOB destination at NSWCDD. Interested parties should submit price quotations with clear and convincing evidence that they have the capability to provide these same items. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended Schedule Vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. Responses to this notice must be received in writing within 15 days after publication of the notice. A request for a copy of the solicitation shall not be considered an affirmative response. If no affirmative written responses are received within 15 days, an order will be placed with Compaq under their GSA FIP Schedule.
