Contracting Officer, (203) 444-8242. The U.S. Coast Guard Research and
Development Center has a requirement to assess new and/or emerging
technologies to support program planning. The Coast Guard is interested
in technology developments/applications that will be commercially
available by the turn of the century. The Coast Guard will select the
technologies to be evaluated. Technologies may include but are not
limited to: marine engineering, fire safety, human factors,
communications, information systems, sensor technology, surveillance
systems, navigational systems, and waterways management. The Coast
Guard is interested in your experience in technology assessment and
your current ability to perform technology assessments. Information
submitted should should be pertinent and specific in the technical area
under consideration for the following areas: (1) Experience: an outline
of previous projects, specific work previously performed or being
performed and any in-house research and development effort; and (2) Any
other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular
area of interest that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of
the information submitted. Interested sources should submit literature
