S -- PICK UP AND DISPOSAL OF INFECTIOUS WASTE Sol DABT59-95-B-0006. Due 042095. POC Shirley H Hammond. Pick up and disposal of regulated (infectious) waste from the Kenner Army Community Hospital at Fort Lee, Virginia, for a base year and three option years. The base year shall commence 1 June 1995 through 31 May 1996. Contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities, equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish the pick up and disposal services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week during the contract period. Infectious waste includes, but is not limited to, syringes, needles, human tissue, pathological cultures, bandages, surgical masks and gloves worn by medical personnel, disposable gowns and aprons, and any items used to prevent infection or contamination. Infectious waste accumulation is estimated at 751 boxes for each contract period. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. Written requests only.
