Y -- RIO PUERTO PROJECT, PUERTO RICO, CONTRACT 1 SOL DACW17-95-B-0028 DUE 060895 POC Contract Specialist, Bob Nichols, (904)232-3712 The project work consists of the following: (1) Relocation of the Miramar Truck Siphon crossing; (2) Relocation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of the De Diego Expressway; (3) Modification of the Kennedy Avenue Bridge by constructing permanent steel sheet pile cofferdams around five of the bridge piers; (4) Removal of approximately 2,500 linear feet of existing king pile and panel bulkhead as well as removal of abandoned wooden bridge; (5) Dredging approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards of material to form a 400-foot-wide by 25-foot deep trapezoidal channel and placing the material in an ocean disposal area; (6) Construction of approximately 750 linear feet of steel sheet pile channel wall; (8) Electrical relocation work in Central Park; and, (9) Planting of approximately 9.5 acres of mangroves. Magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 24 Feb 95.
