On or about March 6, 1995, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300, will issue Solicitation No. 082530-95-A-0036 for partial demolition and reconstruction necessary to expand the workroom into existing space at the Main Post Office, 28 School Street, Sanford, ME. Proposals are due Wednesday, April 5, 1995. Work shall be started within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. The estimated cost of the work is between $200,000.00 and $300,000.00. Along with their proposal, contractors will be required to submit a list (with references) of at least eight completed projects of similar size and scope. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a pre-proposal meeting on Thursday, March 16, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Main Post Office, 28 School Street, Sanford, ME. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. A proposal guarantee is not required. Performance and Payment bonds on Postal Service forms wll be required from the successful offeror. Proposal documents and specifications may be purchased for $20.00 per set from the Support Service Team, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300.
