DUE 031395 POC Contact Point, John Billingsley, (317)353-7681, Contracting Officer, John Billingsley, (317)353-7681 The purpose of this synopsis is to provide notice of a pre-solicitaion conference and availability of a draft specification for services supporting NAWC AD Indianapolis model shop. The nature of these required services will be to support the development of PROTOTYPES in various operations associated with cutting, shearing, machining, forming, welding, drilling, heat treating, plating, surface finishing, or any other associated operation to ensure conrormance to preliminary drawings/specifications. To aquaint prospective contractors with a better understanding of these services, a short plant tour of NAWC Indianapolis is anticipated. The presolicitation conference and plant tour is scheduled for 16 March 1995. It is anticipated this task will be 100% set aside for small business and all interested small business firms are invited to request a copy of the draft specification. Contractors planning to attend are requested to confirm their intentions and individuals planning to attend as soon as possible . Written questions are to be submitted no later than 13 March 1995 and these questions will be addressed at the conference. This is not a Request For Proposals (RFP). There is no RFP available and the RFP will eebe issued after the appropriate announcement in the Commerce Business Daily. When the RFP is issued, it is comtemplated a contract with a base year and four one year options will be aaawarded. The yearly effort is estimated to abe approximately 21,000 manhours. For rough planning purposes, an anticipated award date is in Aug/Sept 1995 timeframe.
