Request for Proposals for the continued operation of the Los Angeles Job Corps Center located in Los Angeles, Californiawill be available approximately March 20, 1995 for issue in response to written request. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period December 1, 1995 through November 30, 1997, plus three Governmental unilateral renewal options for one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 735. This includes 380 residential students (148 males and 232 females) and 355 non-residential students (110 males and 245 females). There will be a tour of the seven facilities in Los Angeles, California, on April 5-6, 1995 at 9:00 a.m. (local time). A Pre-proposal Conference for the Los Angeles Job Corps Center procurement will be convened at 9:00 a.m. (local time) on April 7th following the site tour. Upon arriving at the center tour, participants must report and register at 1031 South Hill Street with center Security. Interested offerors should limit their attendance to not more than two persons. Proposals in response to RFP #IX-95-54 will be due May 22, 1995. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Job Corps Center is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractor will be expected to manage and operate a Government owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, and provision of health services. All activities will be in compliance with applicable DOL/Job Corps Regulations, policies and handbooks. (059)
