Officer. Site assessment, demolition and removal of existing fueling
facilities, excavation and removal of existing underground fuel storage
tank, rinse(cleanse) and disposal of existing tank, site analysis and
testing and preparation of reports, disposal of soils (if needed),
backfill and compaction of tank excavation area. The location of this
project is at the BIA White Swan Road Shop (Elm Street), White Swan,
Washington, which is located approximately 25 miles southwesterly of
Yakima, Washington, Yakima County. Solicitation No. R95-1. Bid opening
April 20, 1995 at 1:00 pm. Duration of work 45 calendar days.
Estimated cost range of project is $25,000-$100,000. Section 7(b) of
P.L.93-638 (25 USC 450e) and DIAR 1452-204-71 requires that preference
opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska
Native individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be
given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Failure by the
contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to awward and implement
same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or
termination of the contract for default. An Indian/Alaska Native
economic enterprise need only be 51 percent Indian/Alaska Native owned
