PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This project was originally synopsized as a sources sought under Solicitation No. 263-95-B(HC)-0225. This requirement will be solicited as full and open competition. This is the pre-solicitation notice for Building 100 Renovation at the National Institutes of Health Animal Center, Poolesville, Maryland station. Work consists of interior and exterior selective demolition, salvaging, renovation and alternation activities in a partially occupied animal facility. Approximately 40,000 square feet of exterior stall areas and approximately 4,000 square feet of interior barn and support areas are in the scope of work, which includes underground utilities, concrete, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection sprinkler and alarm, electrical and equipment (laboratory and animal stall). The renovated Building 100 will meet American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) standards. The estimated cost range of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The period of performance is 210 calendar days from the date of receipt by the Contractor of the Notice to Proceed. Qualification Factor: Responsive contractors must have completed at least three AAALAC accredited projects of similar dollar size, complexity and nature completed within the last five years, including cost and duration dates.
