Transportation (DOT) has an Invitation For Bid (IFB) requirement for a
multiple signal capable video/geographic information system. The
system shall allow video telecommunication conferencing, communication
via computers, display of electronic maps and associated
transportation related data. It shall consist of but is not limited to
the following component parts: signal splitters, monitors, video
cameras, electronic logic circuits, power hook-ups, signal interfaces
for broadcast/cable television and multi-platform computers, and a
video wall. Materials, equipment, and services shall be required to
assemble and install the system, and shall also include maintenance for
a base period of one year and four option years not to exceed 60
months. An on-site conference will be held on March 30, 1995, at 2:00
P.M. Blue prints will be available on site at this time. The Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3663. The approximate issue
date will be March 23, 1995. The approximate closing date of the IFB
will be April 24, 1995. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for
