As a minimum the system shall consist of a low background, high vacuum manifold pumped by a 180 liter per second high reliability air cooled diffusion pump; quadrupole ion trap mass analyzer with a mass range of 10 to 1,000 u at unit mass resolution across the entire mass range when scanning at greater than 10.000 u per second, and an ultra high efficiency ion source featuring replaceable ion volumes and plug-in filament cartridge for electron ionization and chemical ionization.
