The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington DC (FISC, Wash) has a requirement in support of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. FISC, Wash intends to procure a Blood Bank Archival/Lookback System (System) capable of storing data in a centralized location. This System must be capable of converting and storing existing patient results as well as storing new laboratory information. The existing LABIS database (which must be converted) consists of approximately 30 diskpacks and resides on Cyberlink Version 1.3 software running on a Data General 210. The new System is to include: an emulator capable of converting the existing database, plus all hardware, software and links such that the end-user will be able to access the converted data through a commercial off the shelf database software package (i.e. ''dBase, Oracle, Cy-Base, etc.''). The new system must be compatible with the existing ''Etheret twisted pair task control protocal/internet protocal'' LAN currently residing at Bethesda. The contractor shall be responsible for the installation, on-site training, and migration of the existing LABIS database into the LABIS emulator system such that the converted database will be accessible by Bethesda personnel through their existing LAN. The Contractor' s conversion of the existing database must be completed within 3 months of contract award. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer. This solicitation is unrestricted, full and open competition is encouraged among all interested and responsible concerns. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract.
