Haynes, Ph: (202)267-6207) The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for
three each commercially available non-blocking computer controlled
receiver matrices with associated spare parts kits to provide automated
Reed relay RF switching capabilities between multiple antennas and
radio receivers. One of the units shall be first article tested. The
matrices shall be controlled via either a front-panel operator
enterface (Keypad and Display) or remotely via an EIA-232 port. The
EIA-232 port must interface with a Coast Guard provided computer system
consisting of a Unisys B-38 or B-39 CPU running the BTOS operating
system and Coast Guard developed control software that is designed to
control Matrix System Corp. matrices. The Coast Guard is currently
using Matrix System Corp. matrices, model numbers 10880, 11046, 11532,
and 11048 at various communication stations. The required matrices are
Model 11045, 16 input X 60 output, Model 11049, 24 input X 34 output
and Model 11047, 26 input X 60 output. Delivery of Test Reports
required. Delivery of matrices and associated spare parts shall be made
not later than 31 July 1995. All interested parties must submit a
Capabilities Statement that sufficiently describes their
qualifications, capabilities, and previous experience relevant to
fulfilling the above requirement. This notice is not a solicitation nor
is a formal Request for Proposal available. Solicitation issue date
will be on or about 29 March 1995. All request must be received in
writing. In the absence of responses from firms which believe they have
the capability to perform this requirement, Coast Guard intends to
negotiate with Matrix System Corporation, Calabasas, CA.,the items
described pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(B)(1).-- No other notice will be

enterprises: The Department of Transporation (DOT), office of Small and

short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
