This is a sole source requirement to PDA Engineering, Patran Division, 2880 Zanker Road, Suite 203, San Jose, CA 95134. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, installation, and transportation necessary to provide Software Maintenance support for P3/Patran MCAE. Software operates on a Hewlett-Packard network consisting of six Apollo 9000/730 WorkStations with CRX-24Z graphics running under the HP-UX 9.01 Operating System. Installation media for this network shall preferably consist of CD/ROM disc or alternatively, 4mm DAT magnetic tape cartridge. Contractor shall provide verbal instructions and problem solving assistance by telephone in connection with the use of said software at no charge, and notify the Government of program errors as identified. Contractor shall provide documentation updates, both hard copy pen & ink and CD/ROM or 4mm DAT magnetic tape cartridges as appropriate. The FIRMR does not apply to this acquisition as this is a Mission Critical Computer Resource (MCCR). FIRMR 201.39.101-3(b)(1)(ii)(B) applies to this acquisition. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
