Contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to provide hired car service to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803. The vehicle(s) used must be ba able to accommodate a minimum of seven passengers plus one wheelchair passenger safely and comfortably. The contractor may choose to use multiple vehicles if necessary. Contractor will provide transportation to and from the VAMC Lincoln, Nebraska and VAMC Omaha, Nebraska, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. Contractor will provide this service only when the VA Medical Center requests it. Request for services will be made by telephone 24 hours in advance of each required trip. The contractor must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. The contractor will be expected to wait until all passengers are ready to return to the Grand Island VAMC from both the VAMC Omaha and VAMC Lincoln. The contractor will be expected to transport individual passengers to specific clinics at other than the VA facilities in Lincoln and Omaha such as the University of Omaha Clinics. The earliest departure wil be 7:00 a.m. and the estimated return will be no later than 6:00 p.m. This is a 100% set aside for small business. Approximate date of availability of solicitation package is 3/10/95 with bid opening date 4/10/95 at 2:00 p.m. Contractor interested must send a resume which certifies the contractor has the capability to perform the service requested. Resume is not to exceed five pages with references confirming your related experience. The contractor shall be in the geographical limitation of 150 miles of the VA Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska. All requests for solicitation package must be in writing.
