Ramos, Contracting Officer. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for Construction of Playground in Plew Residential Park Housing Area, Eglin AFB FL. Bid opening date of 02 May 95 is only an estimated date. Work will consist of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and all operations in connection with construction of a playground in Plew Residential Park Housing Area. The work shall include all items incidental to its proper execution and completion. In general, work shall consist of furnishing and installing various items of playground equipment, including support equipment, earthwork as required for preparation of playground site, provide, assemble and install all items of playground equipment and support equipment, provide uncompressed sand protective surfacing under and around all playground equipment, removal of all debris, cleaning up playground site, grading as necessary to remove surface irregularities, and seeding of the playground area. All playground equipment shall meet safety guidelines published in CPSC Handbook for Public Playground Safety and shall be the standard products of a company regularly engaged in the manufacture of playground equipment of types required under this contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small or small disadvantaged business.
