66 -- BRAND NAME OR EQUAL FISCHIONE MODEL 3000 ION MILLING SYSTEM SOL 51SBNB5C8669 DUE 041795 POC Kathleen Lettofsky (301) 975-6342/C.O.: Ruth Ann Maris The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to purchase on a Brand Name or Equal basis the following equipment: Fischione Model 3000 Ion Milling System with the following specifications: 1) two Hollow Anode Discharge Ion Sources; 2) capable of single or double side milling; 3) an Ion accelerating voltage range of 0.5 kV to 6.0 kV; 4) an Ion current range of 3 mA to 10 mA; 5) an effective milling angle range of 0o to 45o; 6) full 360o specimen rotation or rocking control in 1o increments; 7) a turbo pumped vacuum system; 8) automatic gas control; 9) specimen illumination in transmitted or reflected light; 10) a LN2 specimen holder and integral dewar with a minimum specimen temperature of -120oC and automatic specimen warming; 11) auto termination with a laser light source and matched wavelength detector; 12) programmable milling cycles and storage in internal memory of up to 10 programs; 13) integral printer to produce a hard copy of milling parameters; 14) bench-top mounting. The Model 3000 Ion Mill also includes: Ln2 cooled specimen stage, variable milling angle (0-45), turbo- pumped vacuum system, end point detector, automatic gas control; programmagle milling parameters, stereo microscope for specimen observation, liquid nitrogen dewar, installation and training.
