713-0130. The Hydrologic Technology Transfer Center (HTTC), under the
Office of Hydrology, National Weather Service, NOAA, DOC invites
companies to attend the River Forecasting and Hydrometeorological
Technologies Conference on June 7,8 in Silver Spring, MD. The
Technology Transfer Center will showcase the National Weather Service
River Forecast System (NWSRFS) software and the Interactive Forecast
Program (IFP) on work station computers. In addition, other
hydrometeorological techniques, models, and systems that can benefit
the water resources market will also be discussed and demonstrated. The
conference will provide a forum to meet technology transfer specialists
and discuss various partnering mechanisms. Additionally, the HTTC
solicits interest from companies wishing to partner with the National
Weather Service through the Office of Hydrology, HTTC and commercialize
these unique hydrometeorological forecast technologies through various
partnering mechanisms including User Facility Agreements, Cooperative
Research and Development Agreements, License Agreements, and Funds-In
Agreements. The technologies available for industry use and
commercialization include models on the following: River Mechanics,
Snow Melt, Soil Moisture Accounting, Channel Routing, Extended
Streamflow Prediction, Calibration System, Radar Precipitation
Processing, and Satellite Precipitation Estimation. For general

telephone or in writing. Organizations interested in partnering with
the HTTC on these Hydrometeorological technologies must posses existing
capabilities in marketing and support services in the domestic
marketplace. Any organization with interests in the above mentioned
areas must respond with a statement of intent, to Mr. Curtis Barrett at
the address listed above, describing the organization's technical
expertise, marketing capabilities, financial resources (e.g. annual
report or corporate resume) and motivation for participating in this
program. The statement must be dated within 30 calendar days of the
date of this notice. Since space is limited, invitations will be
accepted on a first come first served basis. A conference fee of
