work consists of the removal and disposal of the remaining components
of a large low frequency radio antenna system. The components to be
removed include: 5 concrete tower bases; 15 concrete guy wire anchors,
5 ground plane wire mesh sections (4600 SF); 120 ground plane copper
radials (750 FT long/EA); 120 ground rods (8 FT long/EA); and large
underground electrical cable (750 FT long). All demolished materials
and debris are to be removed from Fort A.P. Hill and disposed of by the
Contractor. The site is to be restored by filling holes, grading the
site, and reseeding. Magnitude of the demolition work is between
$100,000 and $250,000. Prospective Contractors will be required to
possess a valid Virginia Class A Contractor's License to submit a bid
in response to this solicitation. Work to be performed at Camp Pender
in Fort A.P. Hill, VA. Camp Pender is located approx. 14 miles
southeast of Fredericksburg, VA, adjacent to U.S. Highway No. 17. Firm-
fixed-price construction type contract will result. Prebid conference
and site visit will be scheduled, specific date/time to be specified in
the bid package. Period of performance will be 120 calendar days from
receipt of Notice to Proceed. Sealed Bid No. EMV-95-B-0359 with
specs/dwgs will be available upon receipt of a written request (to the
above PO Box address, ATTN: Mrs. Sandi Nixon), and a nonrefundable
deposit in the amt of $15.00 for each set, checks to be made payable to
