636-4286 Potential Sources Sought. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking
qualified sources that can provide approximately 101 various engine
parts for Fairbanks Morse Model 251 Diesel Engine. These parts are used
on the 210' and 270' WMEC anc 400' WAGB Coast Guard Cutters. The form,
fit and function of these parts must be compatible with the item or
system for which it is intended for on the diesel engines. It is the
Governments's belief that only Fairbands Morse or their authorized
dealers can provide these parts. However, other potential sources
having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data
discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this
announcement. The following information must be povided to evaluate the
acceptability of the offered engine parts: 1) Complete and current
engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered engine
parts (i.e. salient phusical, functional and serviceability
characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered engine parts have been
satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original
equipment manufacturer. No cost or pricing data is required. THIS IS
NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This
