35 -- HIGH PRESSURE AIR COMPRESSOR SOL N66604-95-R-A575 DUE 040395 POC Contact Mary Jo Nemec, Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X296 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport had previously advertised this requirement as a ''Small Business Set- Aside''. This announcement is to modify the procurement in order to remove the ''Set-aside''. This is now an ''Unrestricted'' procurement for one (1) high pressure 5 stage air compressor Ingersoll-Rand Model No 6R80-BX75 that will be acquired on a ''Brand Name or Equal'' basis. There is an option clause for an additional compressor to be ordered within 365 days. The compressor shall be: 1) Completely packaged with 75 HP motor 230/460 volt, three-phase, 60 hertz, open grip proof. 2) 80 ACFM at 6,000 PSIG 3) Belt drive, with high temperature shutdown switch, timed auto drain, crank-case heater, priority valve, dual control, accumulative hour meter, mounted and wired/ combination motor starter with fused disconnect switch, size 5 dual-voltage operation with extra capacity control transformer, 120-volt fused. Electricals shall be NEMA-1. 4) Separately cast cylinders that are cast iron, capable of maximum pressure of 6,000 psig, US Manufacture, American standard piping, fittings, nuts and bolts. 5) Only one electrical connection, one discharge air connection, and one condensate drain connection on sub base required. Unit shall be wired for 460 volt. 6) Oil bath inlet filter/silencer. Additional specifications will be part of the solicitation package. All requests for the solicitation must be in writing.
