Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Dvision, Philadelphia Site, is seeking expressions of interest and general information from potential manufacturers regarding Fiber Optic Sensors that are currently being used in industrial applications. The purpose of this investigation is to determine the availability of commercial developed Fiber Optics Sensors capable of measuring static torque of a rotating shaft. This is not a request for proposal and does not commit the Government to the award of the contract. Any comments provided may/may not be included in a formal solicitation. The government will not pay for any information received in response to the request nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.
