99 -- HONG KONG: SOL PT/270/94 (A23328/94) DUE 040795 9018 bedpan washer - disinfectors Hong Kong Government acting on behalf of the hospital Authority invites tenderers for the supply of 25 sets of bedpan washer-disinfectors for the washing and the subsequent disinfection of bedpans and/Or urinals the washer disinfector shall be designed for either front loading Or TOP loading the external panelling, washing Chambers, bedpan/urinal holders, fittings, and water tanks shall be made of acid and corrosion resistant materials such as 18 percent CR and 8 percent ni titanium stabilized stainless steel the washing chamber shall have a smooth surface and shall be so constructed to avoid retention of soil the water tank shall be fitted with a stopcock and ball float valve Or effective means to provide a separation from the incoming supply the door shall be fitted with a silicon door gasket it shall be opened by a foot pedal with slip-resistant surface and suitably damped to ensure smooth operation a vent pipe shall be provided for the equipment a centrifugal pump with a rating of at least 0 18 kw shall be provided.
