USDA, Forest Service, Shasta-Trinity National Forest is issuing a solicitation to perform manual release on approximtely 122 acres of National forest land on the Shasta Lake Ranger District, Shasta County, California. A 4-foot radius will be released from competing vegetation on 3-year-old planted conifers. Approximately 200 to 250 trees per acre are to be treated. Contract time is approximately 30 calendar days with an estimated start date of May 15, 1995. A pre-bid tour may be held on Thursday, April 27, 1995 at 9:30 AM to view the project site. Prospective bidders should meet at Shasta Lake Ranger Station, Redding CA.
