U.S. Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ in conjunction with the Picatinny Chapter of the American Defense Preparedness Association (ADPA) will conduct the 30th Annual Guns and Ammunition Symposium. The symposium will be held on 4-7 April 1995 at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. The symposium theme is ``Guns/Ammunition Systems - Moving into the 21st Century.'' This technical meeting and exhibition provides a forum where scientists, engineers, and other experts in the field of medium caliber guns and ammunition technology can meet and update attendess of their latest achievements on existing programs and present new material for discussion. The meeting is international in scope and will present briefings which describe achievements being made in weapons systems, guns and gun components, ammunition development, propellant technology, component demilitarization, platform enhancement, and procurement trends. Formal sessions include: Requirements, Programs, Plans; Emerging Armament Systems; Technical Enhancements for Gun Components and Systems; Ammunition Technology; Propellants and Demilitarization; and Platforms and Systems. The two and a helf day meeting is technical in nature and comprehensive in scope. It should meet the needs of the technical community and be of particular value to advance system planners, research and development engineers, system designers, project managers, and technical marketing personnel. This annual meeting is unclassified.
