Carter, 907/753-2551 Description of work to be performed: Upgrade the existing Eielson Water Treatment Facility from 1.875 Million Gallons per day to 2.5 MGD. This will include the replacement of existing pumps and valves, enlargement of the clearwell, conversion of the operation to a manganese green sand pressure filtration process, and a filter backwash clarifer to assist in removal of the oxidized iron and manganese prior to pond disposal. The project includes all required supporting utilities.
