Furnish all labor, materials and equipment, necessary to rehab the hangar doors at Air Station Humboldt Bay, CA. Work includes remove rust from rollers, railing, and frame; replace outer protective panels; inspection and lubrication of lower wheel bearings and shafts; inspection of insulation panels; replace all existing and missing screw fasteners on door panels and electrical and mechanical enclosures with high-strength, stainless steel screw fasteners; replace all weather stripping; replace existing weather strips on the leading edges with weather tight, electrically operated, safety edges; provide power for the new safety edges; prepare and paint interior and exterior hangar doors and frame, and electrical and mechanical enclosures. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program and is open to large and small business participation. This is a 100% Labor Surplus Area Set-Aside. The applicable SIC code is 1541. The Small Business size standard is small if its average annual sales or receipts for its preceding three fiscal years do not exceed $17.0 million. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
