This is not an RFP or IFB. This is used for information purposes only. The Sacramento Air Logistic Center is seeking to identify sources to satisfy a requirement for both the repair and procurement of the AS-3482/GRC Rotatable Log Periodic Antenna, NSN 5985-01-093-2125. The antenna is a heavy duty, military type 4-30 MHz rotable log periodic antenna, produced with a ruggadized rotator that can withstand winds over 200 MPH. It is currently being utilized as a multi- purpose HF transmit and receive conduit. Users are Presidential communications, Scope Signal III, Space Command, and Air Mobility Command. Other HF facilities use it for air/ground/air communications relating to weather forecasting, reconnaissance, air-to-air refueling and rescue/recovery requirements. Functionally, the antenna must have a frequency range of 4.0 - +30 MHz, power capability of 25 kW ave/50 kW PEP, input impedance of 50 Ohms, VSWR of 1.1: 1 maximum, gain of 4-6 MHz 9 dBi, 6-30 MHz 12 dBi, front-to-back ratio of 4-6 MHz 10 dB minimum, 6-30 14 dB minimum. Other salient characteristics include side lobes of 13 dB, rotation of 360 degrees, rotation rate - seeks any azimuth within two minutes, input connector 3 1/8'' EIA flange, wind loading of greater than 200 MPH with no ice, greater than 150 MPH with 1/2'' ice, erected dimensions (HxLxW) of no more than 92 ft x 182 ft x 160 ft, radius of rotation of no more than 70 ft, shipping weight of no more than 17,000 lbs, and shipping volume of no more than 970 ft.
