Fax 509/372-0810. The Pacific Northwest Laboratory, operated by
Battelle for the U.S. Department of Energy, requires a Solid State In
Vivo Counting System to employ six (6) high resolution germanium
detectors for use by the Whole Body Counting Project (WBCP), Personnel
Dosimetry Section within the Life Sciences Center in Richland,
Washington. A reliable, well-designed system is required to provide the
primary in vivo counting capability for the WBCP. The system will be
used primarily to measure workers at Hanford in order to detect and
quantify amounts of radioactive material that emit high energy photons
(typically above 200 keV). This synopsis is not a request for
proposal. Requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored if
received within 10 days after issuance of this synopsis. No telephone
requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Deadline for
