K -- A-10 REGENERATION DUE 103195 POC For copy, contact the info office indicated., For additional information contact Smittle.4js/Pklja/916-643-3387 The Air Force intends to regenerate 23 A-10 aircraft from the Aircraft Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) at Davis-Monthan AFB AZ in FY98 & 99. In addition to required regeneration and inpsection activities, all TCTOs needed to bring the aircraft up to present fleet configuration will need to be accomplished. This includes such modifications as LASTE, cockpit air redistribution and conductive fuel foam installation to name a few. The Air Force is interested in receiving industry comments regarding the following: 1. Could a contractor take all the TCTOs required and rewrite them into a single installation procedure? 2. What is the lead time associated with kit manufacture and the non-recurring portion of integrating the various TCTO installation procedures (to be considered separate CLINs)? 3. What is the Rough Order of Magnitude cost range for these efforts? 4. What is the tooling and material availabliity associated with this effort? 5. Would the contractor consider a joint effort, Air Force and contractor? 6. Recommendations on the best way to pursue the effort i.e., single contract with all taskings included, non- recurring, kit manufacture, (first article, remaining kits), CDRLs; or separate contracts for TCTO integration with a contractor with engineering capabilities and kit manufacture by other contractor(s). At this time the data is being reviewed to determine it's completeness for reprocurement. Upon request, TCTOs can be made available for review.
