This project consists of construction of Main Post Office, Weatherford, Texas. The land is located at the northeast corner of Santa Fe Drive and Hilltop Drive in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. The building consists of a one-story brick facility which will contain approximately 22,650 adjusted gross interior square feet with a built-up roofing system and associated dock and parking areas. This contract will include the relocation of utilities, extending utilities, landscaping and grading. The building houses general mail distribution functions with rental boxes and a full service lobby/store. Interior finishes consist of painted gypsum board, suspended acoustical tile and gypsum board ceilings, carpet, porcelain tile and vinyl composition tile. Estimated cost range $1,000,000-$1,800,000 and construction time is 240 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 330 p.m. on April 4, 1995. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on March 3, 1995 at a cost of $85.00 per set (non-refundable) payable by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to Quorum Architects, Inc., 6421 Camp Bowie Blvd., #418, Fort Worth, TX 76116-5421. Checks or money orders must be made payable to Quorum Architects, Inc. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is made and the request is submitted in writing.
