H. Monk, Ph: (202) 267-0279 THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The U.S. Coast
Guard requests information from potential sources for a portable
salvage pump. This pump will be utilized for dewatering a sinking
vessel or limited firefighting during removal of personnel from small
burning boats. The pump system will be deliverable from a vessel or an
aircraft into the sea. The pump system, in a container, will float
until retrieved for use. The pump should dewater at a minimum rate of
200 gallons per minute with a 10 foot suction lift and operate for a
minimum of 1 and a half hours on one gallon of gasoline. The entire
pump system shall weigh less than one hundred pounds and should fit
into a round container measuring 22 inches in height and 22 inches in
diameter. All pump configurations with gasoline engines shall conform
to Title 13 California Code of Regulations, Exhaust and Emissions
standards for 1995 and later, lawn and garden and utility equipment
engines. The Government is interested in existing equipment which can
meet this requirement. The Government will not compensate any source
for the cost incurred in developing and producing submitted material.

under consideration and appropriately marked if proprietary or
