Alcott, Contracting Officer, (301) 227-2302 The Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) intends to award a noncompetitive contract to International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation for renewal of software license fees. The software licenses support DMA-owned IBM hardware systems consisting of IBM Model 9021-942, 9021-832, 3090-200J and 9021-500 computer systems. The principal sites include the DMA Hydrographic and Topographic Center (DMAHTC), Bethesda, MD, the DMA Aerospace Center (DMAAC), St. Louis, MO, DMA Reston Center, Reston, VA and the Development and Test Facility at Valley Forge, PA. The required software is proprietary to IBM Corporation. The period of performance is from date of award through 30 September 1995 with provisions for four option years. Authority for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6-302-1, only once responsible source, as IBM is the only known source due to the proprietary nature of the software. See Note 22 (0067)
