The Naval Research Laboratory requires scientific/computational support in its plasma radiating source, high density plasma materials processing and electromagntic launchers development programs. Potential offerors must have a proven, versatile, well documented and diagnosed Radiation-Magnetohydrodynamics code and personnel experienced in its development, modification and in its use to model specific plasma radiating sources, x-ray laser, and electromagnetic launcher experiments. Potential offerors must also have personnel with proven experience in the calculation of atomic cross sections, rates and other parameters for those cases when the atom/ion is in the presence of high density and/or extremely high radiation fields. Potential offerors must have a site cleared to hold SECRET material and some personnel cleared for SECRET. The requirement is for a base year with three one year options.
