Russial, (215)897-5426 The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to acquire 10 ea 3/4'' Valves P/N 284156-0001 from the Marotta Scientific Controls, Inc. for installation on various Landing Crafts Air Cushion (LCAC). The FOB Destination is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Det Boston. The required delivery is 45 days ADC. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Marotta Scientific Controls, Inc. under authority FAR 6.302-1. This firm is considered the only supplier of this product because the equipment and subsystems must be compatible with the LCAC Water Wash System. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within 45 days after the date of publicatioin of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirment to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government WILL NOT PAY for information received. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification number is 3728.
