70 -- PURCHASE OF ADPE SOFTWARE AND MAINTENANCE DUE 032495 POC Contact MAJ George Sears, 703/695-4858, Contracting Officer, Alex Graham The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of the United States Army Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel intends to acquire ADP software and maintenance support through a one year, Firm-Fixed Price Contract on a sole-source basis with CPLEX Optimation. The software is proprietary to CPLEX, and meets Government specifications. Items to be acquired are: 1ea.), Base System w/Library and Barier Options for single IBM3090, Maintenance service for one year for the Base System, to include software updates, new releases, and telephonic technical support. The required equipment will delivered FOB destination to the Pentagon, VA. All analysis and determination shall be performed in accordance with the guidance of the Federal Information Resource Management Regulation (FIRMR) as shown in Part 201-39.803-3 titled ''Procedures'' under Part 201-39.803, ''GSA nonmandatory schedule contracts for FIP resources''. This synopsis should not be considered either an RFQ nor an RFP. All responsible sources may respond and will be fully considered, however, oral communication is not acceptable. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers/proposals receive in response to this notice. Firms who can furnish the requirements stated above shall provide written responses indicating price, make, model number, and must include catalog and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical information. The Contracting Officer will make an award determination based on information received or issue a solicitation. If either a solicitation is issued, or an award made an additional synopsis may not be published. If no affirmative, substantive responses are received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis, a purchase order with CPLEX Optimation shall be made. (0068)
