70 -- UPGRADE OF TWO INTERGRAPH INTERMAP ANALYTIC PLOTTERS SOL 5-6049 DUE 060195 POC Deborah S. Boles, Contracting Officer, (303) 236-5900 x316 Concerns having the ability to furnish the supplies/services described herein are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contact) to the procuring office above within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of this synopsis. Salient characteristics: Upgrade two Intergraph InterMap Analytic (IMA) plotters, to include transportation, training and full maintenance. Hardware upgrades shall include new digitizing tablet, interface(s), hand cursor, power supply(s), cables, all interface boards as necessary, and controls for all optical capabilities. Software shall be provided that is compatible for a DOS based 286/386/486/pentium personal computer which will provide capabilities for orientation, aerotriangulation (AT) measurement, automatic point numbering, automatic model joins, on-line control and tie point checks, MicroStation driver for PC, and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) collection. No funds are available for these upgrades/services. Four Intergraph InterMap Analytic plotters, in their present condition, are available for trade-in. Additional services include crating and shipping four IMAs from Rolla, MO to contractor's location, crating two IMAs at the Denver Federal Center (DFC), moving them to another building within the DFC, reinstalling and upgrading them (new hardware & software) providing on-site training and full maintenance of the upgraded systems. Contractor shall be capable of providing maintenance for the entire system (i.e., optics, stage system, new electronics, and new software). Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government considers the item specified as a sole source from Carl Zeiss, Inc., Englewood, CO and proposes to negotiate a contract with that firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required item or its functional equivalent (based upon the criteria specified herein) are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response would include literature, brochures and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration.
