Provide professional diving services to discover and recover batteries
at past and present aid to navigation (ATON) sites in the Tennessee
and Cumberland River System. Option Items are also included for
possible additional locations throughout this river system. The
following Unit Bid Items are also included: Unit Bid Item 001: Perform
additional 10 ft. radial search; Unit Bid Item 002: Perform additional
sediment sampling; and Unit Bid Item 003: Recovery of additional
batteries. Performance period is from 10 July 1995 thru 26 August 1995.
A Coast Guard Buoy Tender with a diving platform will be available
throughout this period. There is a non-refundable deposit required in
the amount of $50.00 per solicitation package. Personal checks are not
accepted. Certified checks, cashiers checks or money orders will be
accepted. Make check payable to U.S. Coast Guard. No telephone requests
will be accepted; Only written requests received along with the bid
deposit will be accepted directly from the requestor. Anticipated bid
opening date is on or about 2 May 1995. Please do not call to verify

this contract is 8999 and the average size standard is $3.5 million.
This is an unrestricted procurement and is open to both small and large

assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are
also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The
