The Naval Sea Systems Command proposes to acquire two-hundred forty (240) MK-20 Mod 2 Target Detectors in FY95 and related option items in FY95 and FY96 for the MK 44/47 Guided Missile Round Packs (GMRPs) in support of the Rolling Airframe Missile Program. RFP N00024-95-R-5428 will be issued to Hughes Missile Systems Company (HMSC) of Tucson, Arizona. This effort will be handled as an inter-divisional transfer of work from HMSC to Santa Barbara Research Center (SBRC), a Hughes-affiliated company, who developed the current RAM MK-20 target detector.
