58 -- LED DISPLAY SIGNS SOL DAHC35-95-B-0022 DUE 051795 POC Contract Specialist, CALI COLLETTE, (703)806-4474 The Contractor shall provide Exterior LED Pylon/Monolith and Post/Panel Type Signs. The Pylon/Monolith Sign shall be double faced (approx 14' x 4.5') shall be capable of 3 lines of characters (min. 14'' tall) or one line of characters (approx. 48'' tall). The Pylon/Monolith sign shall have exposed LED clusters with a variety of colors and have the capability to show graphics and animation. The Panel signs shall be single spaced (approx. 8.5' x 3') and be capable of 3 lines of characters (min. 8.5'' tall) or one line of characters (approx 29'' tall). The signs shall have red or amber LED display and have the capability to show graphics and animation. All signs shall have an LED viewing angle of 40 degrees in full sunlight with a the maximum angle brightness at least 50% of the forward brightness. Lamp life shall be at least 120,000 hours until half life, with linear degradation to half life. The maximum operating temperature for the lamp shall be 70 degrees Celsius. All signs shall allow for front or rear service by a technician. Signs shall be UL listed. The signs shall be controlled by Government owned IBM compatible computers. Software shall be able to be operated on a 386 computer with a VGA monitor, modem, and mouse. Signs shall have a either a built in dial up modem or hardwire communication lines. The software must be capable of addressing and programming multiple signs of the same sign type from a single copy of the software. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work to install the LED signs on existing structural sign supports and foundations at various locations on Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
