O'Dell, (804) 878-3064. Contract negotiations will be held on a sole source basis with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems (MDHS), 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona 85215. The proposed contractor's unique qualifications for fulfilling the contract requirements are based on MDHS having developed the A/MH-6 light helicopter. The Government does not own any of the drawings or technical data required to modify the A/MH-6 airframe, integrate the enhanced components, and conduct the flight test program. The objective of this program is to modify the A/MH-6 aircraft with enhanced components, conduct a qualification flight test program, and demonstrate specification compliance. It is anticipated that the period of performance for the program will be twenty-one (21) months. The solicitation is releasable to U.S. firms only. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Anticipated release date is April 7, 1995. Requests for this solicitation must be forwarded in writing.
